Throughout this second year we have successfully delivered two projects with the company Go place it, a company dedicated to property valuation. In the first instance, the challenge was the creation of a model that, through artificial intelligence, analyzes public images of the environment to provide analytical information that is able to improve the valuation of properties for sale. After installing this model in production, and in view of its success, modifications were made to apply it to the valuation of rental properties, which are also in production.

The Universidad de Tarapacá, together with Cenia, is developing the first artificial intelligence infrastructure with zero emissions in Latin America. Located in the city of Arica, this infrastructure will be the most powerful artificial intelligence cluster in the country and will increase the national AI installed capacity tenfold. This Zero AI model uses the National Optical Fiber to generate advances throughout Chile, which originate in a pole of human development and renewable energy.

By using the cameras that are available today in Chile’s streets, mainly from the UOCT, artificial intelligence models are applied to recognize different types of traffic. We can identify the flow of people and the speed at which they move, and differentiate positions and speeds of different types of vehicles. Additionally, we can identify the same vehicle when it appears in different cameras. Through this project we hope to improve the quality of life of people on our streets.

Mediante una cooperación con Cenia, ODEPA busca determinar automáticamente las superficies cultivadas de distinto tipo en suelo nacional. En esta primera etapa, se desarrolla un modelo que permite identificar la superficie plantada de trigo en en el país, mediante el cruce con información censal y financiera y el uso de información satelital.
